Twisted Scroll #8
hand spun yarn dyed with chestnut and indigo, hand knit, hide glue
h 108” x w 43” x d 7”
This wall installation investigates the metaphor of using loops of hand spun and knit yarn as a language, each stitch representing letters, words or sentences. It is created flat, stiffened with hide glue and shaped into three dimensional form, each twist building on the other.
